RAPID PANEL READING

The BIOMIC V3 Microbiology System provides automated reading, interpreting, and recording of RapID™ (Thermo) panels. This greatly improves accuracy, speed, and standardization of testing.

An enlarged RapID panel image is instantly displayed on-screen with +/- well readings and automatic organism identification look-up. Readings may be adjusted by the user. Test results and high resolution images are saved automatically and can be printed or sent via LIS/LIMS. RapID QC reading and recording is also included.

"We use BIOMIC V3 to read Remel RapID ANA, RapID NH, BD Enteric/NF Crystal and Yeast API 20C identification systems. It works well in our lab as all technologists rotate through the Microbiology Department and this standardizes the reading of the identification systems. The techs love it as it makes reading of these systems so much easier. I like the fact that it maintains the pictures of the systems so you can always go back to see what the reactions were.
