IDTree™ Software
IDTree™ provides ID flowchart software for microbiology labs. These flowcharts outline step by step testing for rapid identification of >80% of common isolates and >95% of urine isolates. Detailed test descriptions and pictures are displayed on-screen. Flowcharts may be printed for training and procedure manuals.
IDTree™ is based on CLSI M35-A (Abbreviated Identification of Bacteria and Yeast; Approved Guideline) and generally does not involve the use of commercial products. Flowcharts contain Gram stain (microscopy) and colony morphology characteristics and various biochemical and enzymatic tests. Sample tests include single-tube, slide, spot, agglutination, disk, chromogenic media, fluorogenic, enzymatic, microscopic, morphologic, or plate methods that can be performed within minutes to a few hours.
