The Peni Cylinder Dispenser includes a hopper that holds 300+ stainless steel peni cylinders (flat face or beveled edge) and can dispense 4 or 6 peni cylinders with a single pull of the lever. Peni cylinders are accurately dropped onto 90-100mm round plates. All products are designed and manufactured in the USA.

 Common Questions - Peni Cylinders & Dispenser

1) What is the difference between flat face and beveled edge peni cylinders?
There is no conclusive evidence that one type of peni cylinders performs better or is more durable. Some customers prefer beveled edge because they believe this type of peni cylinder 'sticks' to the agar better than flat face. However, the decision to use one type is simply a customer preference. Please note beveled peni cylinders are approximately 15% more expensive, so this is also a key factor.

2) What is the minimum number of peni cylinders I can purchase?
100 peni cylinders is the minimum order.

3) Are the peni cylinders made of 316 or 304 grade stainless steel?
Our peni cylinders are made of 316 stainless steel. 316 stainless steel is more resistant to corrosion and is a higher grade versus 304 stainless steel.

4) How do I clean peni cylinders?
USP <81> recommends: 'Carefully clean cylinders to remove all residues; occasional cleaning in an acid bath, e.g., with about 2 N nitric acid or with chromic acid is required.'
